Crafting Photography – we love getting our teeth stuck into a tasty project – so how thrilled were we when this landed at our table?!
We were really excited and simply couldn’t wait to dive in when one of the UK’s largest kitchenware companies, Kitchen Craft, asked us to showcase a selection of their new product ranges including the ‘Calico’, ‘Living Nostalgia’, ‘Geometti’, ‘Seafarer’ and ‘Butterfly Lane’ ranges as well as highlighting some of their Christmas and Indian and Eastern products.
This project is the perfect example of how well-planned, creative photography shoots can produce a vast catalogue of images for seasonal marketing campaigns.
Through close collaboration with our client, we managed to create distinct styles for each range using artistic room settings, imaginative styling, location shoots and lighting to establish a specific ambient ‘feel’ for each photo.
Here’s a selection of the various briefs and looks we fashioned around them. Do let us know what you think!
The shot was created to feature some wooden chopping boards for Kitchen Craft’s “Calico” range of products. The product photography lighting was kept high key to complement the style of the items shown.
Location photography of the products from Kitchen Craft’s “Seafarer” range. The brief was to capture the essence of the range in a natural and fun way, the ambient light was supplemented by flash to give a more “sunlight” feel.
Location photography of an afternoon tea setting from Kitchen Craft’s “Butterfly lane” range. The brief was to capture the essence of the range in a natural and fun way, the ambient light was supplemented by flash to give a more “afternoon sun” feel.
Food crafting photography in a country cottage, of some shortbread on a plate, showing the plate design as part of Kitchen Craft’s Christmas offering. The lighting was kept warm to give the feel of Christmas at home.

Room set photography of a fun range of kitchen utensils, for Kitchen Craft’s “Headchef” range. The lighting was kept hi key and up beat to bring out the fun and vibrancy in the colours of the range.
