In front of the lens fear!
They say doctors make the worst patients. Well, something similar can be said of photographers.
We hate being on the other side of the lens!
Photographs of us are very few and far between, but we thought we’d share some with you on this occasion because they are rather special.
We are thrilled to share with you the good news that Julie and I were married in Las Vegas on 9th September!
It was the trip of a lifetime – three weeks travelling across America. How could we miss the opportunity to make even more of the expedition and be married by Elvis?!
Of course, we still couldn’t quite relinquish control of the camera…
Our choice of professional photographer was rather limited, unfortunately, so we had to supplement their pictures with some of our own selfies! I guess this is the downfall of being a perfectionist – you can’t help but compare service when you’re the one on the receiving end!
Julie is the real wedding photographer out of the two of us and I know she loves being a part of her clients’ special days. Our situation was slightly different, being abroad and not having the luxury of meeting with our photographer before the day, but we can’t stress enough how important it is to hire someone you’re happy with to capture your special memories.
We don’t share information about Julie King Photography a great deal under the dpix banner, but I’m going to give her a plug here whether she likes it or not. She is a truly amazing wedding photographer (and I’m not biased at all). Her pictures are simply stunning – you can judge for yourselves by taking a look at her website here.
I guess we’d better get back to the day job now and direct the lens back at our commercial photography clients.
It’s a short (but hopefully sweet) post from us and all that’s left to say is, from my wife and I, thank you for reading.
See you the right side of the lens soon!
