What do you do with an old camera? Give your old fave a new lease of life!
So, Christmas has been and gone. Your loved ones were very generous and did buy that magical new digital camera that you were after with the lights, bells and whistles on – great news! Now it’s time to get to grips with all of the new features.
Once the excitement is over and you are back in the swing of things. What about your trusty old camera? Surely not condemned to ebay or a charity shop, or worse – the dustbin?
Ask yourself a quick question. Do you like black and white photography?
Have you ever experimented with infra red? Or do you even know what infra red photography is?
A quick low down on infra red:
It’s the invisible spectrum that digital camera manufacturers have to block out when they make digital cameras, otherwise the images would be all over the show and very little use.
What they do is add a special filter in front of the image sensor to prevent this.
But, what if you only allow infra red through?
Well, you get beautiful pictures like this!

You may ask why I am not showing some of my images? Simple answer, I am about to convert one of my old cameras and couldn’t wait to share this with you. My own may follow :0D
