Racing Horses at a stables training.
One of our clients, clients were looking to have some images of their racing horses.
We were lucky enough to be asked by one of our clients to visit a racing horse stable to photograph his horses in their stable and out training in the field and on the track.
The day was a little out of the norm for us and was quite an adventure from a location photography perspective.
The stables are in Dorset which is over 2 hours from the studio, which is no problem but when you combine it with the fact that they have an earlier than conventional start of 7.00 am. it meant us leaving at 4.30 am.
The time of year (November) meant that it was very fresh. We arrived just as the sun was starting to come up, wrapped up well as there had been a good frost.
We met the owners of the stable and they explained how a stable worked and how the horses would be worked.
As we needed individual shots of the horses as a profile pic we needed to make sure that they were well groomed.
Some jockeys came out in racing colours too to add some interest.
Here you will see one of many hundred images that were taken on the day.
Needless to say, we are delighted with the results.
