Case Study: Bringing Cooksey Catering’s Vision to Life

Client Overview

Launched in 2026, Cooksey Catering is a boutique culinary experience founded by Michael and Emma Moffett. Operating out of Manor Hill House, a beautiful wedding venue in rural North Worcestershire, the brand specialises in thoughtfully prepared, small batch, home cooked meals delivered directly to homes across Worcestershire and Birmingham, to compliment those that appreciate food made from scratch.

Phase 1: Creative Collaboration & Discovery

The journey began with initial consultations alongside Emma Moffett to unpack the core identity of Cooksey Catering: premium, locally sourced, and heartwarming food with an artisanal feel.

To translate this feeling into an appealing visual look, we collaborated closely with Matt Lloyd from Lloyd & Co. Design. Key focus areas during this discovery phase included:

  • Establishing the Photography Style: Defining lighting, framing, and compositions that highlight the fresh, home cooked nature of the dishes.

  • Selecting Backgrounds & Textures: Choosing rustic woods, character slates, and earthy linens that complement the Manor Hill House country kitchen aesthetic without distracting from the food.

  • Shot List Planning: Aligning image requirements directly with the layout needs of Cooksey’s e-commerce platform and promotional materials.

Phase 2: Production at Our Bromsgrove Studio

With the creative direction agreed, production moved to our purpose built studio located conveniently just off Junction 5 of the M5 in Stoke Prior, Bromsgrove.

Having an on site kitchen facility allowed Head Chef and his culinary team to prep, plate, and finish dishes immediately prior to shooting, ensuring every meal preserved maximum freshness and visual appeal.

Our controlled studio lighting setups recreated a soft, consistent and repeatable natural daylight ambience tailored specifically to the pre selected background textures. A seamless, real time workflow between Chef, our photography team, and the design vision ensured every garnish and portion was camera ready.

Phase 3: Launch & Results

The final photography captured the warmth, quality, and small batch craftsmanship of Cooksey Catering’s offerings.

  • Digital Experience: The imagery confirms the Cooksey Catering website, supporting their weekly Monday order cycle and highlighting their seasonal menu choices.

  • Brand Consistency: The visual language seamlessly ties together their website, promotional collateral, and pantry marketing at Manor Hill House.

  • Successful Rollout: The imagery played a crucial role in their 2026 launch, establishing immediate brand recognition across their core delivery zones (B60, B61, WR9) and beyond.
