Examples of some of our food photography .
We would like to think that we’re well known by our clients for having a great studio and are proud of the impressive results that we achieve for them.
Sometimes we get asked “Do you do food photography?” The answer is “You bet”.
We find food fun.
What is so good about food photography other than the obvious ” we may get to eat it”, is the fact that as a non chef, I find theĀ process fascinating. It’s not just about the correct length of time to cook ( when preparing food for photography it can be drastically different- ) usually undercooked.
Our approach to food photography is one that we very rarely use available or existing light. As beautiful as natural light can be, it does change and if there are many dishes that need photographing then the changeability can be a stumbling block. The key in our opinion is to make the lighting look like daylight, keeping consistency no matter what time of day the work is taking place- and we have shot food into the night before now.
Over the past 20+ years dpix creative photography we have seen many types of food, including cakes, halal, vegetarian, shakes, salads and sauces.
Here are a few examples of assorted dishes.[fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”7″ gal_title=”food photographer Birmingham”]
Some of the images shown in the food photography galleries have been taken on location, an interesting process as we have transported almost everything including the kitchen sink.
We always try to give depth, freshness and a just cooked look feel to the shots, well lets face it, we all expect whatever we are served to be as fresh as a daisy.[Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”8″ gal_title=”Food Photography Birmingham”]
We could show examples and talk about food for hours on here, we will finish with the talk and just end up with cakes…the coffee is waiting here for you![Best_Wordpress_Gallery id=”10″ gal_title=”Food photography-cakes”]
