With over 30 years of experience, dpix Creative Photography is owned by commercial photographer Darren Shipman, providing creative, high-quality imagery for businesses across Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, Birmingham, and the Midlands.
Darren began his career assisting in one of Birmingham’s leading advertising studios, working on major commercial campaigns and creative projects for top agencies. This early experience shaped his strong technical skills and eye for detail, qualities that continue to define his photography today.
After several successful years in the advertising world, Darren moved to a studio in Redditch, where he honed his craft further and developed his own creative approach to commercial, product, and advertising photography.
Specialising in commercial, brand, product, and advertising photography, Darren has a particular passion for food photography, collaborating regularly with professional food stylists to capture dishes in their most appetising and visually compelling form. He frequently travels across the country for shoots, bringing his expertise and creativity to clients wherever they are.
Originally established in 1995, dpix Creative Photography continues to deliver professional, consistent results from a purpose-built studio in Bromsgrove, combining technical skill, creativity, and a genuine love for photography.

With over 35 years of professional experience, Julie King is an essential member of the dpix Creative Photography team in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. She brings a unique blend of Brand photography expertise, creative styling, and exceptional portrait skills, producing images that are visually striking and full of personality.
Julie began her career after completing a photography college course, working in Midlands-based social photography studios, before joining dpix Creative Photography over 25 years ago. Starting as a second photographer, assistant, and film processor, (back in the days of film!) Julie’s experience spans commercial and advertising photography, corporate and brand portraits, food photography, and lifestyle shoots.
Renowned for her imaginative approach, attention to detail, and ability to put clients at ease, Julie captures every subject, from people to products and culinary creations, with authenticity and warmth.
